Boxed In

I love boxes and these were some great garage sale finds that I was able to make over using just chalk paint and my tissue paper transfer method.

These are all for sale in my Etsy Shop.

I used Duck Egg Blue chalk paint on some and Paris Gray on others then distressed using my portable sander.

Some of them were lined with coordinating papers.  In my opinion, one can NEVER have too many boxes to hold precious treasures, right?

  1. I love these boxes and will use them as inspiration for the PILE of boxes that I have collected because I can't resist them. Beautiful.

  3. Wonderful boxes and I love how your made them over. You're really good at the transfer thingy. I would like to try this! I do believe you're right - you can never have too many boxes.

  4. Great job! They look really nice. I would love to learn how to do the French lettering on them. Too busy with a wee one right now. How do you do it with tissue paper? Or did I Read that wrong?
Thanks so much for stopping by my post this weekend,

  5. Hello Lauren- I agree with you- there is something intriguing about boxes, especially unique shapes and fun clasps and opening. You never know what treasure is inside. Nice color paint. OK, you have a deal! I will trade you an uncomfortably hot, windy (achooo!) southern California October day for a damp, chilly one. Grass is always greener, right? LOL- When everyone gets a 'real' autumn day, the Santa Ana winds sweep in here, the temps go up to 95, dust is flying everywhere, and the whistling/howling/rustling lasts all night long making it hard to sleep. When we get up the next day, roof tiles are missing and it is still hot. Any allergy or sinus issues makes you miserable. You get out of the shower and 30 minutes later wish you could get back in- haha! The house is covered in dust so it's no point in dusting, either. Gee, I really don't like the Santa Ana's, right?! Anyway, thanks for your visit. Love all the cool projects you make. :)
